What this is, and what it isn't

A population-weighted religion map — not a political atlas.

1,551,947 dots sit on the GHS-POP 2025 settlement grid. Country shares are Pew Research Center, 2020. Christianity is drawn as Catholic, Orthodox, Protestant, Evangelical and Pentecostal so Europe is not one colour. India follows the 2011 census by state; Nigeria and Indonesia are split where the provincial mix changes the picture. People with no religion are hidden until you turn them on, which is why China stays sparse. Format inspired by Anita Chen's religion dots.
